GetFit is a suite of products that help Product and Management to guide and track an application's journey to Modernisation.

Project Overview

GetFit already has a product to help the upper management measure the modernisation for a portfolio of products.

My-Portfolio, a product envisoned to help Product Owners to provide specific guidance on what they could do in their application to improve its maturity in terms of modernisation.

User research

The research and product teams had existing data on the Product Owner's journey and pain points in the modernisation jouney.

Some of the key issues we identified were:

Most of the these tracking applications are used as a stick against the Product Owner's rather than helping them get better.
Most tracking applications told what the metrics were, but failed to guide on how to improve.
Most guidance is very generic and not tailored to the application in context

Design sprint

Since the problem at hand was complex and we did not have an existing solution, I convinced the team to run a design sprint. Since this was the first time in the entire Product Experience a design sprint was conducted, getting a buy-in was difficult, but the idea of "a tested prototype in 5 days" finally got the approval.

User Journey Map

Following our discovery and design sprint, I conducted a workshop with the research and product team to design the user journey map, which gave us an understanding of the end to end journey of a product owner.

The summary page

One key thing we wanted to focus on was developing a summary page that would help give a bird's eye view of all the metrics for the portfolio of applications that a Product Owner was responsible for.

The user need

As a Product Owner, I need to understand how modern my portfolio is, so that I can take further actions to improve it, if necessary.

The user story

As a Product Owner, I want to see how all of my applications are performing, so that I can choose which application to focus on.
